HGL55CA Low-Profile Linear Guide Block — 55 mm Square Type, Interchangeable
The HGL55CA is the low-profile version of the HG 55 mm square block. It runs on the same HGR55 rail with the same hole spacing, but the block sits lower, so a frame that cannot be raised still takes a machine-tool grade guide. Interchangeable blocks are supplied in Z0/ZA preload and C/H/P accuracy.

Where this block is used
The low body keeps the carriage close to the rail, which matters when the frame height is fixed by an existing design: retrofit axes, grinding heads and machines where the original block sat low. It runs on the same rail and hole spacing as the standard-height block, so the change is in height, not in the mounting.
Mounting: rails and blocks are bolted to machined faces. Rail bolts are tightened from the centre outwards in the sequence given in the catalogue, and running accuracy is checked with a dial gauge before the carriage is loaded. Lubrication is by grease nipple or oil port; the re-greasing interval follows load and duty cycle, so it is agreed with the customer rather than fixed on the datasheet.
