Linear Guides with HIWIN-Equivalent Mounting Dimensions

“Compatible” here means one thing: the mounting dimensions follow the HG standard, so a block made to it fits a rail drilled to that standard at the same size. It does not mean the guides are made by HIWIN, and we do not claim they are. We manufacture the guides in Shandong and supply them as a second source alongside the HG series.

This page lists what is identical, what we supply, and what a purchaser should check before switching supply. If a drawing already exists, the four numbers that matter are the block height, width, length and the mounting hole pattern; the load ratings are ours and are stated per size.

Mounting dimensions by size

The values below follow the HG standard for the size and are the ones on the drawing: H is the assembled height, W the block width, L the block length. C and C0 are our rated loads for that block.

ModelSizeH (mm)W (mm)L (mm)C (kN)C0 (kN)
HGH15CA15 mm283461.411.3825.31
HGH20CA20 mm304477.517.7537.84
HGH25CA25 mm40488426.4856.19
HGH30CA30 mm456097.438.7483.06

For a rail of the same size, the hole pitch P and end distance E are fixed by the size, so a rail ordered to this standard has the same hole positions as the existing one. That is what makes a swap possible without re-machining the carriage: the holes line up, the height is the same, and the only new variable is the guide itself.

What we supply

Accuracy C, H and P on interchangeable blocks, and SP/UP on matched sets. Preload Z0 and ZA on interchangeable blocks, ZB on matched sets. Dust protection with standard wipers or the ZZ / KK / DD codes, and the heavy-duty wiper codes on the larger sizes. The supply rule matters more than the catalogue: up to accuracy P and preload ZA a block can be replaced on its own, while SP/UP and ZB are lapped as a pair and cannot be split.

What is not identical

Three things differ from a brand guide and are worth stating plainly. The load ratings are ours, published per size in the tables; they are not a copy of another maker's numbers. The internal design is our own — ball circuit, retainer and seals are made in our plant, and the parts are not interchangeable between brands even when the outside dimensions match. And the documentation is ours: a datasheet from this site describes the guide we ship, not the brand it was dimensioned after.

“Equivalent quality” is not a claim we make. What can be verified is the mounting dimensions, the accuracy grade, the preload and the material; those are stated on the page for each size, and a sample can be measured against the drawing before a full order.

Switching supply: the checklist

Before the first order, confirm the rail size and the hole pattern from the existing drawing or by measuring the centre distance between the outermost holes. Confirm the accuracy grade and preload the machine actually needs, not the grade printed on the old block — over-specified preload is common and it is the easiest place to reduce cost without changing the machine. Decide whether the block has to be replaceable on its own; if yes, stay at P / ZA. Then order one block and one rail for a trial axis and measure the height and the running parallelism against the drawing before committing the rest.

On the administrative side, a second source needs the part number written the same way in both places. We quote the model exactly as it appears on this site, so a purchase order that says “HG25 block” without the accuracy and preload is not a complete specification; the selection guide shows what the four required fields are.

Documentation and traceability

Every shipment is quoted against a written configuration: model, accuracy, preload, rail length and hole count. The packing list repeats those fields, so a block received two years later can be compared with the original order without relying on memory. For an audit or a second-source approval, we send the current datasheet for the size and, where the customer asks, a sample measured against their drawing.

Where to start

Compare the size that matches the existing block: HGH15CA, HGH20CA, HGH25CA, HGH30CA, HGH35CA and HGH45CA. Flange versions are on HGW25CC, the low-profile alternative on HGL30CA, rails on linear guide rails, and the full list on linear guide blocks.

FAQ

Are these HIWIN guides? No. They are manufactured by Yuantong with mounting dimensions that follow the HG standard, so they fit equipment designed around it.
Can I mix a Yuantong block with an existing rail?At the same size and within accuracy P / preload ZA, yes — the dimensions match. SP/UP and ZB are matched sets and cannot be mixed.
Will the load rating be the same as the original? Not necessarily. The ratings we publish are for our guide; compare them with the load your axis actually applies rather than with the old catalogue number.
Can I get a sample before ordering?Yes. A trial block and rail for one axis is the usual first step; measure it against the drawing before the rest of the order.

HIWIN is a trademark of its owner. It is used here only to describe mounting compatibility, not to suggest that these guides are made or supplied by that company.
